Tadhg Schempf, M.D.
Dr. Tadhg Schempf grew up in Pittsburgh and completed his ophthalmology residency at UPMC. After residency, he completed a Glaucoma fellowship at UPMC. His research pursuits have included projects investigating social determinants of health in glaucoma, effectiveness of telehealth care, retinal imaging modalities, oculoplastic surgical approaches, and IOL techniques, resulting in many peer-reviewed articles. He also takes part in community outreach efforts, including the Guerilla Eye Service and Mission of Mercy. Dr. Schempf joined Sewickley Eye Group to continue to serve his community in his hometown of Pittsburgh. His wife, Molly, grew up in Sewickley, and Dr. Schempf sees this wonderful, supportive community as “home”. He and Molly spend their free time running, biking, hiking with their dog, and spending time with loved ones. Dr. Schempf’s training and experience allow him to treat a host of ophthalmologic diseases. He provides high-quality, compassionate care to all of his patients.
